Slimming experts in Northamptonshire are celebrating a successful January which saw them welcome 2,226 new members and members lose a total of 1,954 stone.
Now they have launched a campaign to recruit more people with a passion for helping others.
A Slimming World recruitment event is taking place at 3pm on Saturday (February 11) at Kettering Park Hotel and Spa.
Sue, who manages a team of 10 consultants who run 18 Slimming World groups in Northamptonshire, said: “Now that obesity has hit an all-time high, two out of three adults in the UK are overweight or obese - and the Government predictions say that 80 per cent of men and 70 per cent of women will be overweight or obese in the next decade so the demand for our unique, warm, friendly approach has never been greater.”
And she added: “Every consultant who comes on board goes through an in-depth training programme and is awarded diplomas in nutrition and the psychology of weight management, as well as successfully running their own slimming business.”
Slimming World is looking for people who have lost weight themselves with the organisation.
They want people who can share their own weight loss success and inspire others.
There are also vacancies for experienced managers to help co-ordinate the work in Northamptonshire.
Sharon added: “We provide support 52 weeks of the year and our members know from the minute they walk through the door, often when their self-esteem is at it’s lowest, that they will never be judged, that their details will be completely confidential and that they are with people who understand them because we’ve all been Slimming World members ourselves.”
Slimming World consultants are all former members.
The role is part-time, with the potential to earn £100 to £400 a week for working 10 to 12 flexible hours as a self-employed franchisee.
Training is offered, with Slimming World providing administrative support, centralised marketing and PR, and nutrition and research expertise.
