Read an Olympic adventure written by youngsters

A book written by schoolpupils has been published.

To celebrate 2012, the children at Yardley Hastings Primary School collectively wrote their book ‘Tim and Holly’s Olympic Adventure’.

The book, which has been published through New Generation Publishing, tells the story of Holly and Tim, who have won tickets with their school to see the Olympics, but things don’t go according to plan.

A spokesman said: “Join the children as they journey through different Greek myths on an adventure to recover the missing Olympic rings. Will they overcome the force of Hades and his wicked friends in time to save the Olympics?”

Each chapter of the book represents a year group’s work and includes writing by every child.

The accompanying illustrations are also by the children.
