Raunds woman airlifted to hospital after being kicked by a horse

A 30-year-old woman has been airlifted to hospital after being kicked by a horse in Raunds.

She was thrown back after being kicked in the stomach this morning (Wednesday, March 19).

Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) were called to the incident because it had taken place in a remote location.

The air ambulance landed at the scene of the incident just before 11am.

The woman was given pain relief by the crew before being immobilised and flown to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire, arriving at about 11.40am. Her condition was stable en route to hospital.
