A wildlife rescue group is appealing for help so it can continue its work with animals and birds in and around Raunds.
Feathers and Prickles Wildlife Rescue has various animals and birds in its care, including hedgehogs, pigeons, crows, jackdaws and magpies.
It has been rescuing wildlife for about three years, but the cost of feeding and looking after the animals is becoming too much.
Adie Gudgeon, who is one of the managers for Feathers and Prickles, said: “It is costing us £115 a week just to feed what we have got in at the moment.
“We have about 160 animals.
“We started up around three years ago as no-one else did wildlife rescue in this area.” While Feathers and Prickles is based in Raunds, Adie said they have travelled as far as St Neots for a rescue.
But without more support, he fears they may have to close their doors for good.
Adie said: “We have closed our doors at the moment because we can’t take any more in.”
