Weekend shoppers have shown their generosity adding to the bucket collection organised by Rotarians for the earthquake victims in Nepal.
The two Rushden Rotary club volunteers supported by Waitrose took the donations from customers for six hours raising £1700.
Funds raised will pay for three Shelterboxes to be sent to those who have lost their homes in the Himalayas.
Both clubs have already sent two emergency aid carrying Shelterboxes which contain a ten-person tent, cooking, water purifying equipment, essential tools and toys for children who have lost everything.
ShelterBox is a world-wide Charity, originally set up by Rotarians in Cornwall are are sent worldwide in times of natural disaster.
