Runners, joggers, cyclists and dog-walkers of all ages are getting ready to put their fanciest dress on and their best foot forward to take part in Kettering General Hospital’s annual charity fun-race.
Now in its third year, the event will take place at Pitsford Reservoir on Sunday, June 28, with registration opening at 11am for an 11.30am start.
People of all ages and speeds are invited to take part, whether on two legs or four, and are welcome to wear fancy dress or just a silly hat.
The event is being organised by Kettering General Hospital Charity Fund to support a number of units, including ophthalmology, cardiology, dermatology, endoscopy, stroke, breast cancer and the KGH Rec Hall Community Centre.
Sponsors such as Northampton Saints, Kettering Rugby Football Club and Liquid Culture, as well as volunteers will be supporting the event, in some cases providing hot refreshments and homemade cakes. KGH representatives will also be on site with information.
All participants receive a free bottle of water before the event, a medal after, and a chance to pose for pictures with Bernie the Saints mascot and ‘Waverley Wolf’ KRFC’s mascot.
If you would like to take part in the event, you can get your own sponsorhip form by contacting organisers John Newman Hairdressing & Beaty at: firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling on: Kettering 410422.
