Pupils who are set to start sixth form in September tried out circus skills at their induction day.
The pupils at Sir Christopher Hatton school in Wellingborough were put into teams and tried out a number of circus skills with the help of Dodgers Circus Workshops.
They tried out circus skills including juggling, plate spinning, stilts and diabolos.
The idea of the day, on Wednesday, July 4, was to encourage team building.
James Pinkney, head of sixth form, said: “It is important to inform the students of what to expect from studying at AS/A Level and we are keen for them to receive detailed information about the courses in preparation for September. However, we also wanted them to have fun while they were doing so.
“The aim of teaching them the circus skills was to allow them to have fun while experiencing something they probably hadn’t done before. With luck they have worked in groups with current friends but also had opportunities to form new friendships.”
