A pub in Rothwell will battle it out with three in Northampton for the title of the county’s urban pub of the year.
The Woolpack Inn, in Market Hill, is among the finalists in its category at the Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards 2014/15.
And members of the public will now get to vote on who should come out on top in the category at the awards, which are run by the Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership and sponsored by Carlsberg UK.
Alongside The Woolpack are The Golden Horse, The Lamplighter and The Malt Shovel Tavern, all in Northampton.
Meanwhile, the finalists in the separate rural community pub of the year contest are The Red Lion in Bozeat, The Sun Inn in Kislingbury, The White Horse in Old and The Sun Inn in Hardingstone.
Both community pub of the year categories are sponsored by Pidy UK with the Northamptonshire Telegraph and our sister paper, the Northampton Chronicle & Echo.
To cast your vote for your favourite in each category, and to be entered into a prize draw to win a set of family tickets to see Peter Pan at Royal & Derngate this Christmas, complete a voting form in the venues themselves or visit the awards’ website by clicking here. Voting closes at the end of September.
The results, along with those of the other twelve categories in the competition, will be announced at the Awards Dinner taking place at Royal & Derngate in Northampton on Thursday, October 16.
