Proms in the Park is returning to Rushden next month

People will be able to enjoy an evening of live music when Proms in the Park returns to Rushden next month.

The popular Mayor’s Proms in the Park event is taking place in the walled garden in the grounds of Hall Park, Rushden, on Saturday, September 3.

Rushden Town Band will be providing the music for the evening, with all the favourites including Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia and Jerusalem being played.

People are invited to bring their own champagne, picnic, chairs and rugs to enjoy the evening’s entertainment.

Gates will open at 6pm for a 7pm start.

Tickets cost £5 and are available from Rushden Town Council, Rushden Library, PW House jewellers or on the gate from 6pm on the day.

All proceeds from the event will go towards the chosen charities of the town mayor, Cllr Tracey Smith.
