An investigation was carried out after an email was sent to Corby swimming pool expressing anti-Israeli views which were directed at the country’s Olympic swimming squad.
The team will be travelling to the town next month for training sessions at the pool ahead of the London 2012 Games.
County police have confirmed an email was received but stressed that it did not contain threats against team members.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “We continue to work closely with all our international partners to ensure a safe and secure Games, taking a risk-based and intelligence-led approach to all potential threats, including terrorism, serious and organised crime, public disorder and natural hazards.
“Risk assessments of training venues have been undertaken, working with the venue providers and local police to put in place appropriate and flexible policing support where necessary.”
It is understood the email was sent last year when the team first travelled to Corby to train at the pool.
The squad is expected back in the town for training sessions from Thursday, July 19, until Monday, July 23.
