Volunteers who give up their time to help out at a community centre have been thanked for their efforts.
A team of volunteers help with the running of Glamis Hall in Wellingborough, but they were given a day off to enjoy a barbecue in recognition of the invaluable support they provide.
Graham Campbell from Glamis Hall said: “Our annual barbecue is to say thank you to all our priceless volunteers.
“They work so hard and expect nothing in return.
“They were waited on by the trustees and staff with food and drink as a small token for their kindness and ongoing support.
“Without them, there would be no Glamis Hall.”
Another recent success for Glamis Hall was a day trip for 70 clients who enjoyed a meal out at The Danish Camp in Willington, Bedford.
With one coach, two minibuses and three cars transporting them there, it was a great day out for the clients.
Graham said: “All the staff and volunteers worked so hard to make the day so special.
“All the clients thoroughly enjoyed themselves and said they had an enjoyable day out.
“Care manager Ali did a wonderful job making sure everything ran smoothly.”
Another recent success is the first night of Glamis Hall Youth Club.
It saw 15 youngsters getting together at the hall to take part in various activities, including table tennis, pool and making keyrings.
A number of people have been thanked for their work in launching the youth club, including Sarah Gouffini.
