A charitable organisation has appointed a new president for the year.
Members of the Kettering and District Lions Club have chosen John Gray to take the post.
Mr Gray, 62, of Isham, said: “I’m a relative newcomer – I’ve only been here for four years, so it’s quite an honour.
“We change president every year, that has been the policy since the club started almost 40 years ago.
“I’m not planning anything radical, just to get the wider community to have a greater awareness of what we are able to do for them.
“If they have a specific need we are around the town and they can ask us for help.”
The club’s next event will be a family fun day on August 6.
It will be held at Kettering Rugby Club and will raise money for the club.
