People in Finedon will be going to the polls tomorrow (Thursday) to elect a new borough and parish councillor.
The by-election is being held following the death of Cllr John Bailey MBE, who died in July following a short battle with cancer.
Cllr Bailey had served on Wellingborough Council for nearly half a century, as well as serving as a county councillor and parish councillor.
There are four candidates to choose from for the position of borough councillor, including Cllr Bailey’s wife Barbara, who is standing for the Conservative party.
Also standing is Steve Ayland for Labour, Allan Shipham for UKIP and John Wheaver for the Liberal Democrats.
Three candidates are standing to join Finedon Parish Council.
They are Sally Farrell, who is standing independently, Rebecca Haines for Labour and Jeremy Jordan for UKIP.
People can vote at the polling station which is at Finedon Independent Wesleyan Chapel between 7am and 10pm tomorrow.
