Higham Ferrers celebrates 30 years of twinning with German town
Higham Ferrers may not be able to celebrate its 30 years of twinning with Hachenburg now, but is hoping to re-arrange its plans for next year.
The town's mayor Cllr Tina Reavey was due to visit Hachenburg this August as part of the twinning visit and mark 30 years of the association.

The town of Higham Ferrers values the special friendship and relationship they have had with Hachenburg over the past 30 years and as the trip was cancelled due to Covid-19, Higham Ferrers Town Council are sending a gift to mark the anniversary to the mayor of Hachenburg.
Despite being unable to make the trip this year, Cllr Tina Reavey still hopes to visit in 2021.
Hachenburg has many similarities with Higham Ferrers, including its well-preserved town centre with many beautiful old buildings in a style called fachwerke in German and half-timbered in English.
