Police in Wellingborough are urging drivers to take action to avoid being a victim of crime during a week-long operation in the town.
Officers will be at Morrison’s car park and the Swansgate car park all week handing out anti-theft number plate screws, stickers and crime prevention information in order to prevent vehicle crimes.
Drivers will be urged not to leave any valuables out on display in their cars.
PCSO Mel Thomas said: “We are running the operation on the back of the reports of vehicle crime in the area.
“We are offering crime prevention advice, including information about keeping vehicles secure.
“We will also walk around the car parks and write down any registration numbers of cars in which items are left out. We will then write to the owner to offer them some crime prevention advice.”
