Police to ramp up school patrols

POLICE are to ramp up patrols of parking problems which are putting lives at risk outside schools.

Following complaints from residents, teachers, and residents, the Kettering Rural Safer Community Team will be monitoring parking outside schools in the area.

Police officers and PCSOs will start their safety campaign today, Tuesday, April, 17, through to the end of the summer holidays to tackle an ongoing issue of inconsiderate and illegal parking.

PCSO Donner Fenner said: ”The safety campaign is aimed at highlighting and preventing dangerous parking around schools in response to an increasing number of concerns about irresponsible parking, particularly around the start and end of the school day.”
