Police stop almost 50 vehicles in operation to cut driving offences

49 vehicles were stopped across Kettering and Irthlingborough on Wednesday as part of a police “Rogue Trader” operation.

The vehicles were pulled over and checked for offences including having no insurance, having defective lights, expired MOT and for drivers using a mobile phone.

The operation took place in Kettering and Irthlingborough and saw 49 vehicles stopped, with 28 pulled over in Kettering and 21 pulled over in Irthlingborough.

Police officers joined forces with HM Revenue and Customs, Trading Standards, the Motor Insurance Bureau and Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) for the operation.
