Police raided four properties in Kettering and Corby this morning.
The raids, one of which was in Tresham Street, Kettering, produced no evidence and no arrests were made.
DI Mark Pattison said: “We executed four warrants across Kettering and Corby this morning, made no arrests and found no evidence.”
Members of the public reported seeing armed police and dogs in the raid in Tresham Street, which took place at about 8am.
One of the windows of the ground flat facing the street is boarded up, suggesting police had smashed it in the raid.
Steve Pegg, 49, of Tresham Street, said: “I’m not surprised. This particular building has been a problem.”
Fae McGoogan, 19, of nearby Russell Street, said: “That’s bad. There were police outside the other day.”
A 52-year-old business advisor from In Business Training in Tresham Street, who asked not to be named, said: “We are getting quite annoyed. Three weeks ago we were broken into.
“A guy came in through a window and stole some laptops.
“He wrecked the place and pulled everything out of drawers.
“It seems quite typical.”
