Police name victim of A14 accident

Police have named a woman who died in an accident on the A14 last week.

The woman involved in the accident on the A14 on Thursday, December 27, at about 8am, has today (Wednesday) been named by police as Melanie Parkinson, 43, from Barton Seagrave.

A police spokesman said: “Mrs Parkinson died after her white Kia Sportage, for reasons yet unknown, was in collision with the central reservation of the A14 between junctions 8 and 9 on the eastbound carriageway.”

Officers from the Collision Investigation Team would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the accident or who has any information about it.
