Police name two men killed in crash

Two men who died in a road accident near Corby have been named by police.

Jevgenijs Draguns, 22, from Northampton and Igors Zunda, 33, from Lincoln, were both originally from Latvia.

The accident happened on Tuesday, December 4, on the A43 near Duddington.

A police spokesman said: “The families of both men are being supported by specially-trained liaison officers and the incident continues to be investigated by the collision investigation team.”

Jurijs Zunda, 42, from Lincoln, is due to appear before Corby magistrates on December 21 charged in connection with the deaths and other traffic matters.

A woman and a two-year-old boy, who were both hurt in the road accident, are still in hospital receiving treatment but their injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
