Police issue warning after vandals attempt to enter stables in Northamptonshire village

Police are warning horse owners to be vigilant after a gate post in a field was broken and a fence pulled down in a Northamptonshire village.

The incident happened overnight between 6.30pm on Tuesday, January 19, and 8am the following morning in Yardley Road in Grendon.

It appears that the offenders were trying to gain access to a yard where there are stabled horses.

Police are warning horse owners in the area to be vigilant and would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time.
