Police issue photo of man wanted in connection with Rockingham Hill incident

Police have issued a picture of a man they want to trace in connection with an incident that saw a car roll down Rockingham Hill.

The Northants Telegraph reported on the incident in March which followed a police chase through the town. Witnesses said the car rolled driverless down the steel hill in the rural village outside Corby.

Police have now taken the unusual step of releasing the picture of a man they wish to trace in connection with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and failing to stop following an incident on Thursday, March 10.

James Mitchell, aged 29, pictured, is also sought by officers in Essex after he failed to appear at court to face charges of driving while disqualified, in October 2014.

He was due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on November 13 2015 for the offence which happened in Tilbury, Essex.

Officers would also like to speak with the man in connection with an alleged burglary in Lyndon, Rutland, Leicestershire on February 19, 2016.

They believe he may be in Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex.
