Officers investigating an alleged mugging in Corby have asked both the victim and the offender to come forward.

At about 2.30pm yesterday (Wednesday, July 22), a teenager went into the Rockingham Arms pub on the corner of Clydesdale Road and Studfall Avenue and told staff he had been mugged.

Unfortunately, he left before the police arrived and has not been traced since.

He was white, about 15 or 16 and was wearing a red and white checked shirt and tracksuit bottoms.

He told bar staff his attacker was a black man who was in his 30s, about 6ft, and was wearing a blue hooded top and dark tracksuit bottoms.

He was last seen walking along Studfall Avenue in the direction of Rockingham Road.

Witnesses, or anyone else who knows anything about this incident, can call Northamptonshire Police on 101.

Alternatively, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
