Police were forced to close roads to prevent people from getting to an illegal rave in Gretton over the weekend.
More than 1,000 people attended the unlicensed event at an old barn near Rockingham Speedway, with police called in the early hours of yesterday morning (November 1) after reports of a large convoy of vehicles entering the village.
Organisers were given notice to leave the area and eventually left at midday the same day.
Eyewitness reports suggested debris was left on roads with people lying in hedges and staggering around the village.
A police spokesman said: “We received a small number of complaints but have made no arrests and our investigations into the incident are continuing.”
