Plans to turn a vacant office unit into a dental suite have been submitted.
The plans are for a proposed change of use from business suite to dental suite at Studio 4 at the Diamonds Business Centre in Attley Way, Irthlingborough.
Documents submitted as part of the application say the office suite has been empty for more than 24 months despite extensive marketing by commercial agents.
The site is near to the Nene Park Medical Centre, which is just off the A6 at Irthlingborough.
A report submitted as part of the application states: “The proposal is to form a dental suite suitable for up to 2/3 dentists.
“This will be partly relocating an existing single operative dental practice located just out of the town centre.
“This practice is currently located within the Spinney Brook Medical Centre.
“The space created within this building will allow up to four new much-needed consulting rooms within the medical centre.”
The plans state there is sufficient space to create the dental suite including consulting rooms and associated spaces at the proposed vacant office unit and there is ample parking provision with 11 dedicated spaces, four shared disabled spaces and 44 overflow car park spaces.
