Northamptonshire County Council will determine the application for extraction of minerals with new inland waterways marina, access road, parking, facilities building and improved landscaping scheme.
Documents for the application by J & D Skinner state: “The site is ideally suited for providing quality moorings and an attractive recreational facility close to Northampton on the outskirts of Earls Barton and Grendon.
“It will meet the need of boaters to have secure all-year round moorings, refuelling and sewage pump out facilities.
“The development will incorporate a number of features to meet the modern day requirements for boaters including laundry facilities, showers and fuel dock while creating an attractive environment.”
