Plans are revealed to expand schools

Plans to increase the size of 11 county primary schools by an additional 1,855 places will be discussed by the county council next week.

The proposal is to increase the number of places for pupils aged four to 11 in permanent accommodation associated with 11 schools. They include increasing the places at Barton Seagrave Primary from 420 places to 630, St Andrews Primary in Kettering from 245 places to 315, Victoria Primary in Wellingborough, from 315 places to 420 and Wollaston Primary from 280 places to 315 places.

Northamptonshire has a percentage rise in population above the national average.
