Two applications which name the Domino’s Pizza Group have been submitted relating to unit 2 at 49A London Road - the retail park which is already home to Lidl, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Costa and Subway.

One application is for permission to put in air intake and oven extract ducts with air conditioning and cold room compressors to the rear of the property.

The second is for the go-ahead to put up its sign at the unit, which is the last remaining unit to be filled at the retail park.

Wellingborough Council will consider both applications and if the pizza chain does open for business at this unit, it would be the second Domino’s branch in the town.

It already has a branch on the Redhill Farm development just behind the Ock n Dough pub.

The Northants Telegraph tried to contact Domino’s Pizza and St Modwen, the developer behind the London Road retail park, to find out more about the plans but neither has responded yet.
