Thousands of people from all over the world took part in the 37th International Waendel Walk at the weekend.
The event in Wellingborough attracted about 5,000 participants, with people coming from as far away as Australia and Russia.
The Waendel Walk, the only event of its kind in the UK, began on Friday with two friendship walks of 5km and 10km followed by a weekend of different routes ranging from 5km up to a marathon-distance of 42km.
Julia Wells, events officer at Wellingborough Council, said: “We had more than 1,500 people registered in advance, including people from Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Spain, Denmark, China and Australia.”
