A Kettering smokehouse is giving away its stock of frozen yoghurt and coffee to help raise money for two important town causes.

Billionaires in Sheep Street will be giving away sweet treats and drinks until they run out from 10am to 4.30pm on Saturday (July 11).

They are asking for donations to raise money for KGH's Twinkling Stars Appeal, which is aiming to improve bereavement facilities for those who lose a child, and the Wicksteed Park fundraising appeal after town was rocked by the news that the firm which runs the park's leisure facilities entered administration.

Billionaires owner Drew Wilcox said: "I'm going to fill them all up to the top and once it's gone, it's gone.

"All we are asking for is a small donation.

"There will be a box for Wicksteed Park and another box for the Twinkling Stars Appeal.

"Hopefully it will bring the community together."

The restaurant currently has 10 flavours of frozen yoghurt ranging from classics such as vanilla and chocolate to peanut butter and Biscoff, which will be available with sweets and frappuccinos on Saturday.

It has enough stock to give away thousands of portions and thousands of coffees, which Drew said is using the same bean used in the Houses of Parliament.

The restaurant recently won recognition at business awards organised by 'thebestof' - best UK English restaurant, Kettering business of the year and sixth best business in the UK - having previously claimed start-up of the year at the Kettering Business Awards.

It has had a complete refurb during the enforced Covid closure and will have strict social distancing in place on Saturday with one in, one out, although people can also dine in upstairs.
