Wellingborough dancers wow the judges in competition

Members of the Kilburn School of Dance were delighted to pick up 15 awards at a classical Greek competition.

A total of 25 dancers from the Wellingborough dance school took part in the competition which was held in Milton Keynes but open to dancers from all over England.

Pupils were required to do an hour's class on stage in front of adjudicators to show quality, technique and performance.

And their efforts were rewarded when they walked away with 15 trophies.

Bella Digby, eight, Georgia Gunning, 11, Viviana McKean, 12, Lili Skye Howe, 13, and Imogen Burn, 16, all won the Class Awards.

Doris Garrod, eight, Daisy Fleur Howe, nine, Hannah Digby, 14, and Kiran Young, 17, all won musicality awards.

Performance awards were gained by Tayla Pickering, 11, Ariana Nedelcu, 14, and Francesca Allen, 14.

Bella , Ariana and Francesca also won trophies for dramatic expression and overall technique.

Kilburn School of Dance has classes in all styles of dance from two years six months after school hours.

Working with children for fun and enjoyment as well as preparing them for full-time careers, the school has many dancers performing around the country in professional pantomimes, musicals and stage shows.
