Thanks to support from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and The National Lottery Community Fund through the #iwillFund – which is distributed through the

Northamptonshire Community Foundation - Service Six is hoping to recruit young people to become volunteer social entrepreneurs who will help develop and deliver a number of fundraising initiatives in 2020.

Service Six CEO Claudia Slabon said: “This new project is a bit of a mixture between Dragons Den and The Apprentice, though no-one gets fired.

"We want to bring together a group of young people who will pitch their ideas for fundraising activities and then work together to deliver those projects.

"It’s going to be great fun and very rewarding for all involved."

The charity is initially looking for 12 young people aged 10 to 16 who would like to develop their entrepreneurial skills and put them to good use by raising money for Service Six.

Claudia said: “The project will initially run over six months and during that time we will help volunteers develop and pitch fundraising ideas which will then be delivered by the group with support from the Service Six fundraising team.

"By getting involved in the scheme young social entrepreneurs will be able to develop a wide range of skills that will help them in the future if they want to become entrepreneurs and which

will also look great on their CV’s when applying for courses or jobs."
