A Spitfire will fly above KGH tomorrow (Tuesday) to thank our NHS heroes.

The names of loved ones are being hand-written on the Aircraft Restoration Company's 'Thank U NHS' Spitfire as it takes flight to raise funds for NHS Charities Together.

Names are being nominated by the public as a way of recognising small acts of kindness during the Covid-19 pandemic, with a £10 donation claiming one of the 80,000 spots on the plane.

The plane will take off from Duxford Airfield at about 10am before going past Kettering and Daventry and on to Rugby.

It will then go past Coventry, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Telford and more before landing at Cotswold Airport.

Route timings are estimates and subject to slight change during flight. Due to the current unpredictability of weather, flight routes may be postponed if low cloud or rain prohibits them from flying.
