Sports clubs offered cash to help Northants teenagers

Funding is being offered to sports clubs in Northamptonshire who want to help inactive teens to take part in sport

Local groups are being invited to apply for the Northamptonshire Sport Satellite Club funding that is on offer to clubs that want to provide sporting activities for people aged between 14 and 19.

Money is available to support individuals, groups, or organisations with the aim of making the county fitter, healthier and safer.

The start-up grants can be used to support applicabts with providing a minimum of 20 weeks of the club in a new and exciting opportunity for teenagers in Northants.

Recently funded projects include Afro Moves (African Dance and Fitness in Northampton), Physical Activity and Mental Health Satellites (Wellingborough and East Northants) and a new dodgeball club in East Northants)

The closing date for funding is Thursday, December 19 and all successful groups will get help to finalise their plans. There will be another application window that will be live during February 2020.
