RSPCA Northants searching for blind Yorkshire Terrier's forever home

The RSPCA's Northamptonshire branch are looking for the perfect forever home for Tiny, a blind Yorkshire Terrier.

Tiny arrived at the RSPCA in July needing a lot of medical care after he was rescued by Inspector Callum Isitt from the Elstow area of Bedfordshire.

He was suffering from a chronic eye infection in both his eyes and was taken to Vets for Pets in Northampton. Sadly, Tiny had to have both his eyes removed.

The poor dog needed lots of medical attention when he arrived at RSPCA Northants in July

Kate Whitehead from RSPCA Northants said: "Tiny has come on leaps and bounds and is learning to navigate well without his sight. He's such a lovely dog and really deserves his second chance at happiness."

Tiny also had very matted fur and long claws, and true to his name, he was quite skinny.

Kate said: "It's been fantastic to see his transformation as he was in such a sorry state when he first came into our care. He's a friendly and happy dog now who will make someone a lovely companion."

RSPCA Northants say Tiny is in foster care at the moment and is looking for a home with easy access in and out so he can explore by himself.

He is house trained and settles well at night. Tiny loves to be cuddled and picked up and would make a good companian in a calm home where he is only left for short periods.
