Earlier today, Mr Coles had shared a photo of a leaflet produced by KGH titled "What Do You Do Now? Practical Help and Advice following the Death of a Loved One".

He captioned the image and said: "My first full day of day of widowhood beings with #widmin."

Widmin seems to be a play on words of widow and admin.

Mr Coles thanked the teams at KGH in his announcement yesterday and said funeral details would follow.

Many people have been sending Mr Coles well-wishes on Twitter and in community groups on Facebook.

Richard Osman, best known for his role on the show Pointless, said: "So sorry to hear this news Richard. Sending you love and strength for the road ahead."
