The pubs, restaurants and others across north Northamptonshire opening from tomorrow

Pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and more will open for the first time in months tomorrow (Saturday) as lockdown restrictions are further eased.

Venues across the north of the county have been closed since March because of the Covid-19 pandemic but will now be able to re-open, with new measures in place.

It's been dubbed Super Saturday, but drinkers have been urged to be responsible to reduce the risk of the spread of the killer virus.

Here we look at just some of those opening in our area and the measures in place. We have tried to include as many as possible but to be added to the list, email [email protected] with the subject "re-opening".

Many are looking forward to going out for a drink and pubs in our area are preparing to pull pints again.

In Kettering, the Trading Post is among those opening on July 4 with tables able to be booked online. The Peacock Inn will also open at noon tomorrow, as will The Harlequin who will be taking customers' details on arrival. At The Piper, which is also opening tomorrow, there will be a marquee with lots of outdoor tables.

Another pub opening at noon tomorrow is The Briars with a table booking system, with The Woolcomber also opening with a strict capacity limit and no standing. The Earl of Dalkeith is also set to open its doors again.

The Warren is opening from July 6, The Wayfarers is opening at noon on July 4, and The Stirrup Cup in Barton Seagrave is re-opening at 11am tomorrow. The Prince of Wales is also set to open tomorrow with staff taking customers' details and seating them with hand sanitiser points throughout the venue.

Also opening tomorrow is The Old Market Inn with new measures in place, as is The Red Lion in Cranford with a maximum table size of six people.

Kettering's The Shire Horse will open at noon tomorrow with significant changes in place, with The Red Lion in Broughton also opening at noon. Both pubs, which are run by the same group, are asking customers to book to guarantee entry with The Red Lion operating on time slots of two hours and 45 minutes.

The Lilacs in Isham is also re-opening tomorrow and The Olde Victoria in Burton Latimer will open from 10am on Saturday.

In Wellingborough, The Crown will have a one-way entry and exit system and table service, with the sports bar taped off. People are encouraged to book a table in advance with three different time slots available.

At The Coach & Horses, which is opening at noon on Saturday, there will be a queuing at the door with a bell system, table service in busy times and two bars in operation.

The Cannon Arms is opening at 11am with customers asked for their names and addresses, and the Ranelagh Arms will be opening one hour later at noon.

At The Queen's Head, which is also opening at noon, people can order drinks using an app and make use of their new beer garden.

The Hind Hotel bar will be opening at noon, The Horseshoe will be opening at its usual time of 10am, and it will be an early start at The Redwell with a breakfast trade at 8am and drinks served from 9am.

The Priory further out of town is opening at noon for pre-booked diners and micro pub The Little R'Ale House is having a 'soft' opening on Saturday for invited guests only.

In Corby, The Raven will be among those opening tomorrow, as will The Phoenix and The Domino with strict guidelines in place. The Everard Arms is to open on Sunday at noon but no food will be served just yet so there is more space in the bar. The Sondes Arms in Rockingham will open on Wednesday (July 8).

The Cardigan Arms previously said it was doing "everything it can" to open for July 4 and The Shire Horse will be welcoming punters back on July 5.

The Samuel Lloyd will be opening early doors on Saturday, as will the town's second 'Spoons' The Saxon Crown. The Chequered Flag is opening on Monday (July 6) and tables must be booked online in advance. The Talisman is also opening tomorrow, as will The Kingfisher.

In Higham Ferrers The Griffin Inn will open on Tuesday, July 7. In Rushden The Rose and Crown is opening on July 6, as is The Needle & Awl.

The Hopmaster General in Rushden and Hopmaster The Reserve are set to open on Thursday, July 9, with a booking system in place and strict capacity. The Railway Inn is also set to open its doors again.

In Rothwell The Red Lion is also opening tomorrow and The Ship Inn in Oundle is opening from July 6.

Many restaurants have been offering takeaways throughout the Covid-19 lockdown, but are now set to open their doors again.

At The R Inn Bar & Grill in Desborough doors will open tomorrow but a 2m distancing rule will be strictly enforced with a one-way system and table ordering.

Billionaires in Kettering will open tomorrow and Sonora Mexican Kitchen is welcoming back diners on July 9.

One restaurant which won't be opening just yet is The Palmichael in Burton Latimer because it is renovating its upstairs into a function room and cocktail bar. It plans to open on September 1.

At Olive in Corby diners will be able to return to the restaurant from noon on Saturday.

Wellingborough's Castello Lounge is waiting a little bit longer before it opens on July 22, Kettering's Kino Lounge will open on July 8, Corby's Paletto Lounge will open on July 15 and Lago Lounge at Rushden Lakes will open on July 8.

A number of restaurants will be opening at Rushden Lakes including Bill's which opens tomorrow.

Barbers and hairdressers will also be preparing to open for the first time in months with much of the country desperate for a post-lockdown trim.

Vince's Barbers in Kettering will be one of the first to open their doors tomorrow, Walshs Hair and Beauty in Kettering say they have gone "above and beyond" to make sure people feel confident when they open tomorrow and Albert Watts in Wellingborough will also be opening with appointments being taken.

Kettering salon The Green Room will be opening both of its sites tomorrow.

Hotels will also open, including Oundle's popular Talbot Hotel tomorrow and the Holiday Innin Corby which is opening for visitors and overnight stays from July 6.
