A Police Constable will face allegations of threatening and violent behaviour towards a woman when he appears at a disciplinary hearing next week.

PC Martin Reddy is alleged to have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour in respect of his conduct towards the female who was, on various dates subjected to threatening, aggressive and violent behaviour without justification of lawful authority.

If proved, that would amount to Discreditable Conduct — which requires officers behave in a manner which does not discredit the police service or undermine public confidence in it, whether on or off duty.

PC Reddy will appear at the Force HQ at Wootton Hall Park at a three-day hearing starting on Tuesday.
