Police incident closes A14 at Kettering
The A14 is closed at Kettering this afternoon (Saturday) because of a police incident.
Traffic is at a standstill after the major road was closed by police between junctions 8 and 9 just before 3.30pm.
The eastbound carriageway was shut and Highways England, who are assisting with traffic management, said traffic is now also being held on the westbound carriageway.
Vehicles are being diverted through Kettering town centre with long delays in both directions.
Highways England urged anyone travelling in the area to leave extra time for their journey.
