The park announced earlier that Cogenhoe Mill Holiday Park reopened at 11am today (December 29).

A further announcement a short while later has now also confirmed that parts of Billing Aquadrome will open today as well, although not all areas.

Posted on its Facebook page, a statement from the park says: "We are still working through a series of checks on essential services.

"Please note that the following areas ONLY will reopen today: New Bird Lake View, Bird Lake Meadow, Kingfisher Drive, Bird Lake Pastures, Bird Lake Way, Moorhen Island.

"Please make your way to the park from today onwards. It’s important that you turn off and unplug all appliances that you may have in your shed before turning on your power.

"If your holiday home is not located in the above areas, please do not return to the park.

"We will update you again on all other areas of the park, on an area by area basis, as quickly as we possibly can.
