These are charities supported by Miss Great Britain and Stephanie, as a competitor in the first ever Ms Great Britain - for more mature ladies - is pulling out all the stops to help their cause.

The event is being put on at The Corn Market Hall in Kettering from 7pm on Friday, January 31. Familiar hits and 80s cheese will be supplied by Big Bopper Entertainment and there will also be inflatable darts courtesy of DJ Wayne Pryke, evoking memories of TV's Bullseye and 80s darting superstars Eric Bristow and Jocky Wilson.

There will be a prize for the best dressed but 80s dress is optional.

A huge raffle will also take place on the night with an array of prizes donated by local businesses including holiday breaks, theatre tickets, meal vouchers, fragrances and more.

Money raised will go to both Cancer Research UK and Alex’s Wish, which aims to eradicate Duchenne, an aggressive form of muscular dystrophy that affects many young boys.

Tickets costing £12 are available directly from Stephanie Smith on 07802 311359, at the Balance Health Club reception or online at http://bit.ly/80skettering.
