A housebuilder is looking for community initiatives or outstanding individuals in Northamptonshire who have gone above and beyond during the pandemic.

Taylor Wimpey, responsible for the development of St Crispin’s Place in Duston, Seagrave Park in Kettering and Glenvale Park in Wellingborough, wants to give a sum of £1,000 to a cause that has helped and continues to help the community during coronavirus restrictions.

The company is calling for residents to nominate a group, organisation or community initiative which would benefit from the donation, whether it is for a contribution towards new equipment, a personal fundraising challenge, or anything in between.

Robert Curry, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, said: “We would like to ask the people of Northamptonshire to tell us which community group, organisation or fundraising target they would like us to support.

“Obviously everyone is going through a struggle at the moment and we would like to help a cause which means something to local people.”

Nominations can be submitted by emailing the name of the nominee, along with a brief description of why they have been nominated, to [email protected].

All nominations will need to be received by Sunday 28th February and only one submission per person will be counted.

The group, organisation or individual with the most nominations will be awarded the £1,000 donation.

The company will then contact the chosen cause once voting closes on February 28.
