Mrs York said: "It is with sadness that I have announced that I will be leaving my post to take up the role of interim incumbent at All Saints and All Hallows churches in Wellingborough.

"Although we all knew that at some point I would move on, this is sooner than I had planned.

"The reason for this is that the Bishop of Peterborough approached me and asked me to take on this role. After much careful and prayerful consideration and consultation with the

Archdeacon and Rural Dean I have agreed to do so."

Mrs York's last service will be on Sunday, March 15 and she will start her new role in Wellingborough on Sunday, April 19.

She added: "Whilst I am looking forward to this new role, I will be desperately sad to leave. I will always be grateful for the love, support and encouragement I have received."
