Northamptonshire Highways said a 24/7 full road closure will be in place with the scheme finishing on Friday, September 4, weather permitting.

Workers will be on-site between 8am and 5pm each day.

They will be repairing and repointing the bridge and will close it so workers can safely repoint both on top of and under the bridge.

A diversion will be in place taking motorists along New Road and West Street.

Northamptonshire County Council did not respond to a request for comment.
