Fire crews from six stations tackle 1,000 hay bale blaze in East Northants

Crews from six fire stations worked overnight to control a blaze involving a barn and 1,000 hay bales in Ringstead.

The fire in Ham Lane started at around 11.20pm on Friday, January 10.

Crews from Wellingborough, Raunds, Desborough, Thrapston, Irthlingborough, and Rushden all attended the incident.

The fire burned throughout the night and firefighters tackled the blaze into the early hours of the morning to get it under control.

A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said the cause of the fire is still being established.
