Family's joy after stolen dog found in Wellingborough

Toby the terrier has been reunited with his family after he was stolen during a burglary in Cambridgeshire.

The burglary took place last Wednesday evening (November 27) in North End, Hinxton, and terriers Maisie and Toby were taken.

Maisie was recovered from a vets after being found in a car park in Enfield, but Toby remained missing.

Following police enquiries, Toby was found safe and well more than 50 miles away in Wellingborough last night and has been reunited with his family.

Toby’s owners said: “We are totally ecstatic to have our precious dogs back home safely and we will be eternally grateful to each and every one of you who took the time out of your busy lives to share our story.

“Without you sharing, we would not have had such a happy ending to a truly horrific situation.

"Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

"Toby and Maisie are now being showered with love and affection and thankfully seem unharmed by their ordeal.

Officers continue their enquiries to identify those responsible for the burglary.

No arrests have been made.
