A firm in Desborough is doing their bit to help during the coronavirus crisis by providing boxes for food parcels.

Kettering Council is currently mobilising resources to be able to provide the parcels to the most vulnerable in our community who are self-isolating and unable to go to the shops.

Their efforts have been given a boost by Rigid Containers Limited who have provided 600 boxes so the parcels can be delivered.

They have promised to supply more as the coronavirus pandemic continues in the coming weeks and months.

Group managing director, David Richardson, said: “It is fantastic to be able to support the community.

"Corrugated packaging is an essential part of keeping the supply chain running and we’re proud that our production workers continue to enable vital supplies get through to organisations that need them.”
