The group tasked with engaging people in Corby and Wellingborough with art and culture is looking for two artists to create activity packs to inspire the next generation.

Made With Many is a programme of new arts activities focusing on working with Corby and Wellingborough communities, artists, arts and voluntary organisations, and businesses to ensure that the arts are used for positive change.

In 2020 Made With Many will work with Corby and Wellingborough Libraries to deliver 400 'Fun Palaces at home' packs to families on Saturday, October 3.

A Made With Many spokesman said: "We are looking to commission two artists to create a fun, accessible and creative activity, which will be included in every pack.

"Each pack must contain everything required to take part in the activity provided - including scissors, glue sticks - and each activity has approximately £4 of materials budget per pack.

"We are looking for artists to create activities in line with the Fun Palaces manifesto ‘In Everyone an Artist, In Everyone a Scientist’ and as such we would be eager to receive proposals for activities that combine STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths).

"Each activity would need to have instructions that can be included in printed format inside the pack.

"We would also be interested to hear how each artist could facilitate ways of using technology to connect participants through making. This may include creating a video with how-to instructions, we would also be interested in hearing from artist who can use digital to connect with participants, and for participants to connect with each other."

It is thought that most of the participants are likely to be primary school-aged children but each activity should be suitable for all ages with some adaptation.

The company is especially keen encourage applications from diverse communities and also have an access budget available to disabled artists delivering aspects of the programme.
