Closing down sale signs have gone up in the windows of Bonmarche in Wellingborough.

The women's clothing retailer, which has a branch in the Swansgate Shopping Centre, went into administration last October.

While the signs say there is a closing down sale, the administrators have not confirmed that the Wellingborough shop will be shutting its doors for good.

The Northants Telegraph contacted the administrators FRP, who said: "The remaining Bonmarché sites continue to trade while the performance of the business is under review.

"A significant number of the remaining trading stores are hoped to be part of a transaction with the preferred bidder, Peacocks, subject to the successful outcome of its due diligence process and negotiations with landlords.

"As Bonmarché is in administration, many sites across the country have had 'closing down sale’ signs placed in store."

The Kettering branch of Bonmarche closed earlier this month.
