Brooke Weston Academy in Corby has won six national awards for academic attainment.

The school has been recognised as one of the best performing non-selective secondary schools by the SSAT (Schools, Students and Teachers network) for its 2019 key stage four (years 10 and 11) and key stage five (sixth form) results.

Principal Pete Kirkbride said: "We’re delighted with these awards which are testament to the hard work and professionalism of staff and students at Brooke Weston Academy."

The SSAT Educational Outcomes database compares all state-funded schools in England and the highest performing schools receive SSAT Educational Outcomes Awards.

The Brooke Weston Academy was in the top 10 per cent nationally for attainment and was in the Department for Education's band one for student progress at key stage four.

It was also in the top 10 per cent nationally for student attainment in academic subjects and was in the top 20 per cent for attainment in applied general subjects.

It also achieved higher than the national average progress in academic and applied general subjects at key stage five.
